CARPET & UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
Our carpet and upholstery cleaning is carried out using the hot water spray extraction method – often referred to as steam-cleaning. Fabrics are first treated with a spot removal agent to loosen visible spots and marks, then steam-cleaned to remove dirt and residue from deep within the pile. Lastly, high powered air movers are used to speed up the drying process.
POST-FLOOD WATER EXTRACTION
Following a flood – whether as a result of natural causes or from a burst water pipe or geyser – it is important to remove water from floor surfaces as quickly as possible, to limit or prevent damage to fittings and finishes. In such instances, we first make use of powerful industrial vacuum cleaners and pumps to evacuate flood water and then clean the floor surface using the appropriate method depending on the specific floor type. In the case of carpets, for example, if an underfelt is present, we will lift the carpet and remove the wet underfelt, then steam-clean and dry the carpet. Odour control agents are applied to ensure that the carpet smells fresh.
MACHINE SCRUBBING OF CERAMIC, PORCELAIN, CONCRETE & OTHER HARD FLOORS
Ingrained dirt and grime can leave expensive floor tiles looking particularly shabby. In fact people often don’t realise just how dirty these floor finishes actually are, until they’ve been scrubbed. Just because a floor is mopped daily doesn’t necessarily mean it’s clean. Mopping alone spreads grime and makes a floor uniformly dirty. Our industrial scrubbing machines – upright for smaller areas, and large automatic machines for bigger areas – thoroughly clean hard floors and remove all contaminants using environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals.
CLEANING & SEALING OF SLATE, TERRACOTTA & OTHER NATURAL STONE FLOOR SURFACES
Natural stone floors require expert cleaning and proper protection to look their best. And we are experts in this field. First we thoroughly clean the floor to remove ingrained dirt and old sealants. Then we apply several coats of the appropriate floor sealant. Our sealants are SABS approved and slip-resistant. Different finishes are available, ranging from matte to high gloss, depending on the desired effect.
FLOOR CARE & MAINTENANCE – INCLUDING APPLICATION OF PROTECTIVE SEALANTS
Vinyl floor coverings – popular in schools and hospitals, in the form of either sheeting or tiles – require regular scrubbing and sealing. We are equipped to provide this service using either upright or automatic scrubbing machines. Following scrubbing, which removes dirt and old sealants, we seal the floors using several coats of SABS approved slip-resistant, high-gloss sealant. Sealing vinyl – and other resilient floor coverings – serves not only to greatly enhance the appearance of the floor, but also to protect the floor from scratches and other damage caused by mechanical and foot traffic.
DEEP CLEANING OF KITCHENS & ABLUTIONS
Factory and workshop ablution blocks are often overlooked by facilities managers when it comes to cleanliness. Your staff deserves clean facilities – and we can help. Regular deep cleaning of all fittings and finishes serves to clean and disinfect, thus keeping germs at bay. And no germs means fewer sick employees and less sick leave. It is generally recommended that a deep clean of ablutions should be done at least once every three months.
